Video touch wall for ITCILO

An 8×3 metre touch wall with 80 Christie Microtiles supported the presentation to the ILO Board of Directors of the 8 main projects and related budget of the International Training and Improvement Center of ILO, the International Labor Organization (UN body).

The touch wall touch initially supported the presentation by the project managers and then ensured going into greater detail thanks to the consultation by the participants of the event.

Supplying the wall and the interactive app, created in just 15 days with the support of the ITCILO team, was a major challenge.


Second year running with PepsiCo for hospitality at the event

First in 2016 at Milan, then 2017 in Cardiff, Excogitare has provided multimedia skills and technologies for the two events.

In Milan, the 600 square meter area of PepsiCo, the sponsor of this major trophy, was equipped with 2 large LED walls, a video camera system for show cooking, a lighting system, loudspeaker system, and an audio system with DJ consoles. Excogitare and Bluefactoryevents also collaborated to produce an interactive application for Gatorade, where guests could take selfies in a “Champions” environment and personalize their Gatorade bottle.  The “Champions” photos then powered intense activity on the web.

In Cardiff, besides the hospitality area of the Village, equally sparkling, rich in design and technology, Excogitare also organised audio-video and lighting installations for an internal PepsiCo event with around 250 guests. This included a show of about an hour where every brand of the group involved in the UEFA sponsorship showcased their activities in diverse ways: videos, presentations, talk shows, parkour performances and soccer ball tricks…  concluding with the live singing of the UEFA anthem, the presentation of the trophy and the participation from their hotel in Cardiff of the fantastic Black Eyed Peas, the group chosen this year for the opening ceremony.


Cisco made the decision to use Christie MicroTiles™ at the Riccione Congress Hall, enhancing its Top Partners’ digital installations at the 2017 edition of the multinational’s annual get-together. The event provides an opportunity to explore the new challenges of digital transformation.

Arte’s Neon, our clients, has a long history of creating displays for the most-established fashion brands. And now they have commissioned us for the second time to update the LED walls which feature in two leading Italian stores.

Directly involved with PepsiCo US and working closely with the PepsiCo design department, headquarted in New York, Excogitare, Bluefactoryevents and Icet Studios created the space and audio, video and lighting installations for “MIX IT UP 2016 “at Superstudio 13 in Milan. An intriguing pop mix with design, music, fashion and culinary art, in collaboration with great talents from the international design industry such as Fabio Novembre, Karim Rashid, Lapo Elkann + Garage Italia Customs, Benjamin Hubert, Jeremy Scott, Design Group Italia and many others. 7 activities, 7 different concepts developed by 7 different designers for a single space, which experienced different moods with lights, sound and atmospheres, both during the day and night. An LED wall and monitors with interactive content, projections, lights, audio and VJ, with special effects including soap bubbles and smoke, were all followed by 360° recording, photo shoots and videos. The client’s trust in the team was reconfirmed for the 2017 edition with a new design in collaboration with Design Group Italia, Mathieu Lehanneur, Luca Nichetto, Fabio Novembre, Davide Oldani, Studio Job and Patricia Urquiola to offer an interactive and engaging showcase where the past, present and future converged in an exploration of how we eat and drink in a hyperconnected society. The project featured an LED wall, water screens, light effects, projections and DJ set.


Multimedia technologies for the first assembly

After a long collaboration with the Banco Popolare Group, in April 2017 Excogitare also designed the event space for the first shareholder meeting of the new Banco BPM, created by the merger between Gruppo Banco Popolare and Banca Popolare di Milano. We provided multimedia services and technologies.

We created a stand with 102 Christie MicroTiles™ for AR-CO Chemicals at the 2017 edition of Pulire, an international trade show for environmental hygiene products and technology. The stand featured three video walls in an original configuration.

Pharma company meeting for 250 participants

We decided to use a large 16x5m LED wall to bring to life create a meeting in the cruise ship terminal at Copenhagen. The main feature of the wall was its huge, very bright windows.
We also provided audio, video and lighting services in the break-out rooms, marketplace and poster gallery.

350 dermatologists from around the world spent two days listening to 16 speakers. Excogitare provided expertise, audio and video technology, and lighting. Electronic voting, video recordings, slide graphics, walk-ins and transitions were all supported by a large, 36 meter screen.

LED or MicroTiles?

For “Pulire” 2015, trade show dedicated to industrial cleaning systems held in Verona, Dulevo International needed to create a large wall on its stand. Instead of using a conventional LED wall, the company decided to try out Christie MicroTiles™.

Dulevo wanted to introduce something new to the sector that could manage high-quality digital content combined with performance that “outshines” the usual LED displays – both in terms of brightness and colour management. 80 MicroTiles™, formed into a screen of 4 × 2.80m, really brought the stand to life.

Partners’ meetings in 5 cities

For several years we have managed partners’ meetings, AGMs and EGMs for thisItalian banking group. In particular, we have handled the construction of the US facilities, including audio, video and lighting, as well as directing events. We have also been managed the televising of contributions via the multipoint videoconference link to various meeting locations. Events like these require absolute integrity, professionalism and organisation with thousands of people gathering to follow the reports on economic the group’s forecasts and to vote for the approval of the budget. We have managed several multipoint meetings, where up to 14,000 people have attended and voted simultaneously in five Italian cities.

Spectacular festivals in Lugano

In 2012, the City of Lugano wanted to give its citizens a special treat for the holidays.We made two videos, one dedicated to Christmas and one to celebrate the New Year, which were projected onto the facade of City Hall inpiazza della Riformain Lugano and were accompanied every 30 minutes for 15 days by “Christmas in the streets”, a series of initiatives organized by the city to celebrate Christmas. The 3D video mapping performance was staged with Emme, our technology partner for the Swiss territory.

International tech setups

Versace asked us to create various solutions for their head offices and stores throughout Europe.
We provided productions with multimedia technologies for fashion shows, multimedia systems for the Vetrastreet theatre in Milan, as well as for the stores in Venice, Florence, Rome, London, Paris and for some showrooms.
Excogitare has also realized multimedia installations for the board room of Versace’s HQ in via Borgospesso in Milan. We also set up a monitor system in the reception and equipped the meeting room with technology hidden from view by custom-made leather panels as part of the bespoke interior design project

Once again, on the occasion of an important event, this time in Cologne in Germany, we used the technique of multi-screen projection that allowed us to recreate a dynamic environment where the images projected became the true stars of the venue.
We took care of the production for 7 screens, as well as directing and co-ordinating the event and installing  the visual display system.

“The event is next week, we do not know what the structure is or what the set will be like until the last moment.  Can you get something ready?”
How many times have we heard this from the client?
We built a library of content: from graphic games, lights, strobe effects, buildings collapsing, vegetation sprouting  and so on and so forth. Some of our generic graphics can be easily customized with bespoke colours, logos or shapes inspired by the event. Using special software we can map a variety of generic content onto the set, making it seem to move, spin around or disappear completely – with only a day’s notice, if required.
We can also stream live content or project interactive content and map it directly onto the set.



ALTANA Pharma was Excogitare’s first client in the pharmaceutical sector in 2001 when it was still called BykGulden, until 2008 when the company was acquired by a Danish pharmaceutical firm. Working for ALTANA Pharma has been very useful in terms of the experience it offered us as a launch pad for the international market. In those years, we realized that we could compete with other agencies at the international level by offering expertise and flexibility. We have been involved with numerous stands, interactive installations, symposia, internal meetings and special events with ALTANAPharma.

DLM, Dermathology Leaders Meeting 2014, Amsterdam

Meeting for 350 marketing executives

With a picturesque location, the terminal for cruise ships from the local harbour with 350 pax, the plenary hall was enhanced with a large stage and a 15×8 meter screen with 4 projectors of 20,000 ANSI lumens managed media by a server and graphics mixer. We used projections and lighting to create a stunning and unique  atmosphere. Each brand presented their product using their own creative ideas, which produced  a very complex mix of communication and performances: from dance to storytelling.
We also added magic to the gala dinner with lights, live music and special effects.

DLM, Dermathology Leaders Meeting in 2013, Istanbul

Meeting for 250 marketing executives

This was the first global meeting of Novartis’s Dermatology Division and where the “Skin to live in” campaign was presented. For the plenary we created three large white walls on which we showed different projection layouts depending on the presentation. For the staging we used 5 20,000 ANSI lumens projectors, lights, audio and related control rooms. To emphasize the content being presented, we created an application with which it was possible to write keywords and then project them on the screens at the critical moment.

We edited and produced the video projections, light shows, auditorium sound broadcast. We also handled the image and video production, multiscreen projection and directed the show.
The stars of the show were world-famous Italians, which we produced multimedia content for.
Thirty Italian companies were involved, including: Illycaffè, Alessi, Kartell, La Perla, LesCopains, Bulgari, Loro Piana, Ca’ del Bosco, Missoni, Della Valle, Etro, Fendi, Riva, Ferragamo, Valentino, Ferrari, Valextra, Ferre, Versace, Flos, Fontana Arte, Frette and Gucci.

In 2011, this major communications agency needed to set up a special stand.
We designed and built a multimedia stand with gestural interactivity (interactive video wall), digital signage (distribution of multimedia content on multiple monitors), kioskcommunication (multimedia totems with dedicated applications) and interactive games (driving simulation, complete with steering wheel).
We created the concept and content and co-ordinated the rental of technologies used.

This was a glitzy event in the heart of Milan. It was carefully staged with elaborate set design, lighting, projections, sound effects and a small stage for the guests of honour.
We managed the video production and installation in all its phases, as well as co-ordinating and directing the event.

An explosion of design, a voyage into the Segis universe

In collaboration with an architectural firm in Milan, we inaugurated the Segis showroom in the heart of Milan.
We oversaw the technical design of one of the showroom spaces and the production of a movie in high resolution for the projection screens.
